Shaquille O’neal is NOT “retiring!” He is, and has been for quite some time “RETIRED;” with a “D.” You do not place an “ing” on the past tense. That is all.
The Great Debate: iPhone vs Droid vs Blackberry
So, I am officially at the virtual crossroad of phone purchase. Not only is it phone purchase, but it’s full-retail or pre-owned phone purchase; making the dollar investment higher, thus the commitment is a bit more important. I’ve had an iPhone since 2007, purchased my first Blackberry 2010, and have never had a Droid, which actually has me intrigued at the prospect of trying something new. I’ve given this a considerable amount of thought, which I’ll break down in detail soon.
Are Chinese Prisons on to Something?

I don’t think this is oh so terrible. You take a prisoner, who has nothing to do all day anyhow, and put him to work in a virtual environment; playing a game no less. If forced to choose, I think I’d probably rather be playing a computer game, than do manual labor. I mean what’s the difference between forcing a prisoner to do physical labor vs mental work? True, I think double-dipping by having the prisoners perform their manual duties and then later their unofficial virtual work crosses the line in a bit, but overall I think having prisoners do work online is a great idea if applied correctly.
Google’s asking: What’s in your wallet?

Normally I love pretty much everything Google does, but I’m not so sure how I feel about having my credit cards tied into my phone. I lose my phone far too often to then worry about losing my phone = losing my “wallet.” Yeah, I may have to hold-out on this one a bit until I learn a bit more about the security issues and the protection available to me. Being a Citibank customer and soon to be Android user, I guess technically I could jump right on-board, but I’ll pass on the early-adopter badge this time.
Congrats Scotty… I guess :/
So looks like good ol’ Scotty McCreery takes it all, in this season of American Idol. I have to say that initially I was somewhat pulling for Jacob, then when James knocked it out of the park with Muse, it was the first time in all of these years of American Idol being on the air that I have ever voted for a contestant, and the vote went to James Durbin. Dude, you totally deserve to have won this contest, even if for the Muse performance alone. In any case, congrats to all you guys that made it to the final few and I’m sure it’s not the end of the road for you James. Cheers!
Really Lakers?!

Not that I’m at all qualified to suggest a particular course of action for any sports franchise, but it seems to me that when something is by-and-large working, to change it completely is a bit out of turn. So the Lakers lose a series, more specifically one game, horribly and it’s time to shake things up? Ok, well I hope that works out. On the bright side, the new scout is pretty hot!
No Strings Attached
Sometimes it’s not exactly the greatest idea to watch a movie with someone whom you have a similar relationship to that portrayed by the characters of the movie you are watching; this is for sure one of those cases. This was a pretty good movie, but I was so distracted by what my own mind-chatter about what the person I was with is thinking that I missed about half of the on-screen dialogue. Suggestion: if you’re not in a relationship with someone, see this movie with a FRIEND; and not the one that you hook-up with occasionally.
Wow! I really just want to hug you right now… and tell my mother I love her… I love you!
